देश के पैरालंपिक नायकों को मिलेगा हर संभव सहयोग-अनिल अग्रवाल वेदांता केयर्न के ‘प्रोजेक्ट दिव्यांग‘ के तहत् सम्मान समारोह आयोजित वेदांता केयर्न ऑयल एण्ड गैस द्वारा 10 पैरा एथलीटों की जा रही मदद टोक्यो पैरालंपिक खेलों में दो पैरा एथलीटों ने जीते पदक
2 min readनई दिल्ली/मुंबई, 22 सितंबर, 2021। देश के मेटल, ऑयल एवं गैस के प्रमुख उत्पादक वेदांता समूह ने विशेष कार्यक्रम प्रोजेक्ट दिव्यांग आयोजित कर पैरा एथलीटों को दिये जा रहे सहयोग एवं उनकी सफलता हेतु सम्मानित किया। इस वर्चुअल समारोह में वेदांता समूह के चेयरमैन अनिल अग्रवाल ने इस वर्ष आयोजित टोक्यो पैरालंपिक खेलों में एथलीटों को उनके अनुकरणीय प्रदर्शन के लिए बधाई दी।
वेदांता, केयर्न ऑयल एंड गैस पिछले 4 वर्षों से पैरा एथलीटों को सहयोग कर रहा है। वर्ष 2019 से, 10 पैरा एथलीटों की मदद की जा रही हैै जिनमें से तीन ने क्वालीफाई किया और दो ने इस वर्ष टोक्यो पैरालंपिक खेलों में पदक जीते। प्रोजेक्ट दिव्यांग का उद्धेश्य खेल और सामाजिक जागरूकता के बीच एक सेतु निर्माण करने का है, जिससे सभी व्यक्तियों के लिए सम्मान और समान अवसरों के लिये योगदान दिया जा सके।
अनिल अग्रवाल ने इस अवसर पर कहा, कि “मैं सबसे पहले हमारे पैरालंपिक के नायकों के हौंसले और जोश की सराहना करता हूं। वेदांता के लिये गर्व की बात है कि हम उनकी सफलता के लिये किसी प्रकार का योगदान दे रहे हैं। पैरा एथलीटों को जिन कठिनाइयों से गुजरना पड़ता है, उन्हें ध्यान में रखते हुए प्रोजेक्ट दिव्यांग की शुरूआत की गयी है, हमें खुशी है कि हम उन्हें बुलन्दी तक पहुंचने और विजयी होने में मदद कर अपने देश को गौरवान्वित कर रहे हैं। ”
कार्यक्रम में अनिल अग्रवाल के साथ भारत की पैरालंपिक समिति के महासचिव गुरशरण सिंह और तीन पैरालंपिक नायक देवेंद्र झाझरिया, इतिहास में पहले भारतीय, जिन्होंने भाला फेंक में दो बार स्वर्ण पदक जीता, पारुल परमार, प्रसिद्ध अंतरराष्ट्रीय बैडमिंटन खिलाडी जिन्होंने 29 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय पदक जीते, जिसमें 19 स्वर्ण, 6 रजत और 4 कांस्य पदक शामिल हैं और सुंदर सिंह गुर्जर, जिन्होंने देश के लिए भाला फेंक में कई स्वर्ण पदक जीते भी उपस्थित थे।
पैरालिंपियन देवेंद्र झाझरिया ने कहा, “मैं वेदांता को हर कदम पर सहयोग देने के लिए धन्यवाद देना चाहता हूं। उन्होंने मेरे पिता के सपनों और इच्छाओं को पूरा करने में अहम भूमिका निभाई है।‘‘
दिव्यांग परियोजना देश भर में पैरा-एथलीटों के प्रशिक्षण और प्रदर्शन में सुधार के लिए नियमित कोचिंग, खेल प्रशिक्षण और पोषण संबंधी सहायता प्रदान करती है। एथलीटों को खेल किट और उपकरण, विशेष प्रशिक्षण, फिजियोथेरेपी, घरेलू और अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिताओं के लिए प्रदर्शन, और असाधारण प्रदर्शन के लिए प्रोत्साहन सहित सर्वोत्तम सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करायी जा रही है।
