हिंदुस्तान जिंक कार्बन उत्सर्जन को जीरो लेवल पर पहुंचाने के लिए अंडर ग्राउंड माइनिंग में बैटरी इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन का इस्तेमाल करेगा

एपिरोक राॅक ड्रिल एबी के साथ किया एमओयू, माइनिंग में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों का इस्तेमाल करने वाली हिंदुस्तान जिंक पहली कंपनी होगी

उदयपुर। कार्पोरेट जगत में सामाजिक व पर्यावरण क्षेत्र में अहम जिम्मेदारी निभाने और स्मार्ट तकनीकों को अपनाने में अग्रणी हिंदुस्तान जिंक लिमिटेड भूमिगत खनन यानी अंडर ग्राउंड माइनिंग में बैटरी इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों का इस्तेमाल करने जा रही है। इसके लिए कंपनी ने कार्बन उत्सर्जन को जीरो लेवल तक पहुंचाने और सस्टेनेबल माइनिंग के लिए एपिरोक के साथ समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए ऐसा करने वाली हिंदुस्तान जिंक पहली कंपनी होगी। ये बैटरी चलित वाहन कार्बन उत्सर्जन को कम करने में मदद करेंगे, जिससे खदान संचालन अधिक पर्यावरण के अनुकूल हो जाएगा।

एपिरोक इंडिया के मेनेजिंग डायरेक्टर जेरी एंडरसन ने इस मौके पर कहा कि सुरक्षित और स्वच्छ एवं स्वस्थ खनन के लिए एक कदम उठाना जरूरी है। एपिरोक इस क्षेत्र में और बेहतर करना चाहता है। हिंदुस्तान जिंक के साथ सुरक्षित और सतत् खनन अभियान में हमारी यात्रा का पहला कदम है। आने वाला समय इलेक्ट्रिक का है और इस तरह तकनीक से स्मार्ट संचालन में हम सबसे आगे होंगे। यह तकनीकी कार्बन उत्सर्जन को कम करेगा और दूसरी ओर विकसित डिजाइन के साथ उत्पादकता को आगे बढ़ाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि कार्पोरेट लीडर के रूप में कंपनी कार्बन फुटप्रिंट पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए विज्ञान आधारित लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने की दिशा में लगातार आगे बढ़ रही है। जलवायु परिवर्तन से निपटने की दिशा में हिन्दुस्तान जिंक प्रतिष्ठित सीडीपी लिस्ट का हिस्सा है एवं द डाॅउ जोंस सस्टेनेबिलिटी इंडेक्स 2020 की लिस्ट में एशिया पेसिफिक में प्रथम और विश्व में सातवें स्थान पर है।
