आज हिंदुस्तान जिंक दुनिया में जिंक का सबसे बड़ा सप्लायर है,जो राजस्थान की शक्ति और संकल्प का प्रमाण है, वेदान्ता समूह के चैयरमेन अनिल अग्रवाल ने सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट के माध्यम से कहा कि, जब हमने हिन्दुस्तान ज़िंक की शुरुआत की थी, तब इसे एक पुरानी और पिछड़ी हुई यूनिट माना जाता था—पुराने सिस्टम, धीमी निर्णय प्रक्रिया और बहुत कम उम्मीदें। कई लोगों को लगता था कि इसका भविष्य उज्ज्वल नही है।
लेकिन एक चीज़ जिस पर हमें कभी संदेह नहीं था, वह थे यहाँ के लोग।
राजस्थान की धरती ने हमें महाराणा प्रताप और मीराबाई जैसे व्यक्तित्व दिए हैं। यहाँ के लोग अपनी मेहनत और लगन के लिए जाने जाते हैं। उनकी कुशलता, गर्व और प्रतिबद्धता ही हमारे बदलाव की नींव बनी।
ज़मीन से जुड़कर काम करने, लोगों की बातों को ध्यान से सुनने और उन पर भरोसा करने से बदलाव की शुरुआत हुई। हमने 1 लाख से ज़्यादा नौकरियाँ सृजित कीं और उत्पादन को 10 गुना तक बढ़ाया। आज भारत के कुल जिंक उत्पादन में हिन्दुस्तान जिंक का हिस्सा लगभग 75% है। भारत में कभी चांदी का उत्पादन न के बराबर था, आज हम हर साल सैकड़ों टन चांदी का उत्पादन कर रहे हैं।
पिछले एक साल में कंपनी ने सरकारी खजाने में लगभग ₹20,000 करोड़ का योगदान दिया है, जिसमें भारत सरकार को मिलने वाला ₹3600 करोड़ का लाभांश भी शामिल है। यह हर दिन देश के विकास के लिए लगभग ₹55 करोड़ का योगदान है।
लेकिन आंकड़ों से परे, यह उदाहरण राजस्थान के लोगों के साहस और उनकी अटूट इच्छाशक्ति की है।
Hindustan Zinc is the world’s largest supplier of zinc. When we began, it was seen as an old plant: outdated systems, slow decisions, and low expectations. Many believed it had little future. But one thing was never in doubt: the people. The people of Rajasthan are among the most resilient and hardworking I have known, from a land that gave us Maharana Pratap and Mirabai. Their skill, pride, and commitment became the foundation of our transformation. By staying close to the ground, listening carefully, and trusting our people, change began: from creation of over 1 lakh jobs to scaling production by 10x. Today, Hindustan Zinc contributes nearly 75% of India’s zinc, and where India once produced no silver, we now produce hundreds of tonnes annually. And last year alone, the company contributed nearly ₹20,000 crore to the public exchequer, including ₹3600 crore in dividends to the Government of India. That’s nearly ₹55 crore every single day flowing back to the nation! But beyond the numbers, this is a story of Rajasthan’s people and their resilience. This is our India.
